Aid for AIDS of Nevada

Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) provides support and advocacy for adults and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in southern Nevada.

 

Service area: Central and southern Nevada, including the counties of Clark, Lincoln, Mohave, and Nye.
Work with: All survivors or sexual abuse; children and adults living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Contact AFAN for more information about eligibility requirements for services funded by Ryan White Part A, B and HOPWA.
Services for survivors during incarceration include: Information and support via phone or by mail. Jail and prison inmates can contact AFAN during discharge for information on services.
Services for survivors after release include: Case management; education, outreach, and prevention services; assistance with obtaining medical care, housing, transportation, medication, health insurance, and enrollment in the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP); a food program, including food vouchers, nutritional supplements, and nutritional counseling; emergency financial assistance, including with utility payments; assistance with insurance premiums, co-pay, and deductibles for individuals with insurance, including Medicare Part D participants; support groups; information; and referrals.
Services for loved ones include: Education, information, and referrals.
