AID Upstate

AID Upstate empowers people living with HIV/AIDS through advocacy, direct services, prevention, and awareness.

Service area: Anderson, Greenville, Oconee, and Pickens Counties
Work with: All people living with HIV/AIDS
Services for survivors during incarceration include: Prevention programs at local jails, such as HIV/STD/Hepatitis 101 education; individual advocacy; HIV rapid testing; linkage-to-care for HIV-positive individuals; and referrals to social service programs.
Services for survivors after release include: Case management; HIV testing and counseling; education; financial assistance with prescription medication, vision, and dental care; transportation assistance; short-term rent, mortgage, and utilities assistance; client advocacy; assistance with benefits and drug assistance programs; and community referrals.
Services for loved ones include: HIV testing and counseling; support; education; and information.
