AIDS Delaware

The mission of AIDS Delaware is to halt the spread of HIV/AIDS by providing comprehensive social and support services to clients and their families; advocacy for compassionate public policy; and prevention and education programs addressing unsafe sexual and drug use behaviors.

Service area: Kent, New Castle, and Sussex Counties
Work with: People living with HIV/AIDS, their loved ones, and those at risk of HIV infection
Services for survivors during incarceration include: Information and support via the HIV/AIDS Information Line and by mail.
Services for survivors after release include: Information and support via the HIV/AIDS Information Line; confidential HIV testing and counseling; and a range of services for people living with HIV, including case management; counseling; food pantry and personal products closet; help with health insurance needs; assistance with drug/alcohol treatment; drop-in and support groups for HIV+ persons; information; and referrals for assistance with housing and utility needs, transportation for medical and social services, nutritional counseling, dental services, mental wellness counseling, and other support groups. AIDS Delaware also offers services for LGBTQ youth, including a support group.
Services for loved ones include: Confidential HIV testing and counseling; information; and referrals.
