Nancy J. Cotterman Sexual Assault Treatment Center

The Nancy J. Cotterman Sexual Assault Treatment Center (NJCSATC) provides a safe, non-threatening environment for survivors and supportive family members. Services are intended to assist in matters of public safety, to help survivors and their families to understand what has happened, and to aid in their recovery. It is the mission of NJCSATC to improve and enhance the quality of life for survivors of sexual assault and child abuse through effective interventions, implemented by professionals specializing in the fields of sexual assault and child abuse.

Work with: All survivors of sexual violence and their non-offending family members
Services for survivors during incarceration include: Crisis intervention via the 24-hour hotline; forensic medical exams after sexual assault; advocacy; information and referrals.
Services for survivors after release include: All of the above and sexual assault/sexual abuse counseling for children and adults in their office, located in Broward County.
Services for loved ones include: Crisis intervention and mental health counseling for non-offending family members.
Additional information: NJCSATC is unable to provide ongoing services for sex offenders and will provide appropriate referrals, when available. Services are available in English, Spanish and Creole. Se ofrece servicios en español.
