New Mexico Corrections Department, Office of Special Investigation and Internal Affairs

The Office of Special Investigations and Internal Affairs (SIIA) investigates all reported violations of law to include misdemeanors, felonies, and internal affairs relating to New Mexico Corrections Department (NMCD) employees, inmates, institutions, and divisions. Inmates who have been sexually assaulted in a NMCD facility can contact SIIA to report the assault and any concerns regarding the handling of investigations into such abuse.
