The Virginia Anti-Violence Project is committed to addressing and eliminating all violence within and against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities across the Commonwealth.

Work with: Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) survivors of violence and their concerned friends and family members
Services for survivors during incarceration include: Information and referrals; support via letters; and email communication.
Services for survivors after release include: Information and referrals.
Services for loved ones include: Information and referrals.
Fees: Free
Additional Information: VAVP is a state-wide group with limited resources and cannot offer individual advocacy for LGBTQ survivors of violence except in very rare circumstances. All survivors will be provided with appropriate local referrals.
