AIDS Response Seacoast

AIDS Response Seacoast is a nonprofit, community-based organization founded in 1987 to help improve the quality of life of those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and to prevent the spread of the disease in the Greater Seacoast area.

Service area: Rockingham and Stafford Counties
Work with: All people living with HIV/AIDS and their affected family members
Services for survivors during incarceration include: Information on HIV/AIDS and AIDS Response Seacoast services and referrals.
Services for survivors after release include: All of the above, as well as confidential HIV testing and counseling; case management for people who are HIV+; mental health counseling; support groups; assistance with applying for Social Security, disability, Medicaid, and food stamps; referrals for legal assistance, medical, and dental/oral care and treatment; emergency housing and utility assistance for eligible persons; emergency financial assistance for eligible persons; food and nutritional counseling; transportation assistance; budgeting assistance and referrals; educational workshops; food pantry and personal care items; referrals for clothing and furnishings; HIV educational materials; support and assistance with adherence to medications; and other support services.
Services for loved ones include: Confidential HIV testing and counseling; emotional support; holiday events; information; and referrals.
