In a national survey of juveniles held at detention centers around the country, about 12 percent of inmates said they had been sexually victimized by other inmates or staff, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. Guest host Lynn Neary talks about the new research with Lovisa Stannow, of Just Detention International, a human rights organization focused on ending sexual abuse in prisons and other detention facilities. Stannow is joined by Troy Erik Isaac, an abuse survivor who now runs a social service agency in Los Angeles.
