Palmetto Community Care

Palmetto Community Care (PCC) provides free, confidential services to people infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS in the tri-country area. PCC is the only comprehensive HIV/AIDS service provider in the tri-county area.

Service area: Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties
Work with: All people infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS
Services for survivors during incarceration include: Information and referrals via phone or by mail.
Services for survivors after release include: Case management; support groups; basic legal services, such as assistance with wills, powers of attorney, landlord/tenant issues, health insurance, and domestic legal issues; advocacy; housing assistance, such as limited mortgage, rental, and utility assistance to eligible clients; the Nutrition Center, which provides nutrition information and may provide limited food and nutritional supplements for qualified clients; and
free, confidential HIV testing at the PCC North Charleston offices and throughout the Lowcountry.
Services for loved ones include: Free, confidential HIV testing; information; and referrals.
