New Directions Center, Inc.

New Directions Center is a non-profit community organization that provides crisis intervention, emergency housing, food, clothing, and transportation to women, children, and men impacted by homelessness and emotional, physical, and sexual violence.

Service area: Augusta, Staunton, and Waynesboro Counties
Work with: All survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones
Services for survivors during incarceration include: Crisis intervention via the 24-hour hotline or by mail; accompaniment to hospital emergency rooms, police departments, the Commonwealth Attorney’s office, and court proceedings; and information and referrals.
Services for survivors after release include: All of the above, as well as counseling; emergency housing for those in imminent danger; specialized services for child survivors of abuse; emergency food, transportation, and clothing; and support groups.
Services for loved ones include: Information and crisis intervention via the 24-hour hotline.
