Virginia Department of Corrections, Special Investigation Unit at the Office of the Inspector General

The Special Investigations Unit is responsible for conducting investigations of all felony and misdemeanor violations of law committed in and against the Department of Corrections (including sexual assault) and serious allegations of staff/employee misconduct and administrative violations. Prisoners who have been sexually assaulted in a VDOC facility can contact the Special Investigations Unit by writing to the address above to report the assault and any concerns regarding the handling of investigations into such abuse.
