YWCA is able to provide supportive services to women who are in the Genesee County Jail. Referral received from social worker/medical staff. Currently offering a weekly support group to women. Advocates are available to support a sexual assault victim at an area hospital who is receiving a medical forensic rape kit exam.
Since the mid 1970’s, YWCA Kalamazoo has provided confidential, non-judgmental crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy to support abused women, men, and survivors of sexual assault. YWCA Kalamazoo supports these survivors through our Victim Services department.
